BACEE’s events include training courses, conferences and seminars dedicated to important issues of the banking industry in Central and Eastern Europe. Their goal is to help better understand risks represented by the banks of the region, present state-of-the-art solutions in different areas of banking business, and help the region’s banks improve their efficiency

BACEE’s traditional Regional Banking Conference held twice a year, assesses macroeconomic situation in CEE/CIS countries (incl. Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan) and gives a complete overview of these countries’ banking sector. These events attract an increasing number of delegates (in average, about 100 people) and provide a good networking opportunity.

Training courses, organized by BACEE, aim at better understanding of risk management, corporate governance, anti-money laundering, IFRS, Basel III, trade finance, treasury products. BACEE’s “classic” is the Bank Analysis training course, it’s curriculum includes quantitative and qualitative methods of bank analysis, case studies and extensive teamwork. The course ends with a “credit committee meeting” during which participants decide upon granting (or refusing) credit line to a bank from one of the CEE countries.

BACEE offers in-house trainings on the a.m. topics and organizes study tours for bankers from the CIS region and other emerging markets to CEE countries (Austria, Hungary, Slovakia).

BACEE also arranges conferences on different hot topics, relevant for European banks (e-banking, AML, cybersecurity).

During the last few years, BACEE events attracted about 1000 participants from more than 200 banks, representing over 40 countries.
